REFR is a story stock, just like all those biotechs out there that don't have a product yet. They take years to bring anything to market, so I think REFR should be judged as a story stock.

Mr Harary cannot give us a firm production schedule for at least two valid reasons I can think of. First, he is not in control of production. Second, if he were foolish enough to issue a date, the company would be liable to suits from disgruntled stockholders if it failed to meet the date.

Why hasn't an American entrepeneur etc.... This line of reasoning from the negative proves nothing. There could be all kinds of reasons beside the implied one of the product not being that good. How about not invented here? Hewlett Packard passed up the Apple computer when the Woz offered it them. IBM gave away the store to MSFT when Gates snookered them because of their NIH blindness.

Besides NIH, there are other valid reasons that could explain why it hasn't happened yet. I read the engineering paper by the Hankuk Research team recently published in the proceedings of SPIE (Internatial Society for Optical Engineering). The paper outlines some of problems that had to be solved before SPD became practical. Some of the problems had to wait for other problems to be solved.

In short, all of your negative arguments and innuendos prove absolutely nothing. Your argument boils down to "It hasn't happened for years; therefore, it won't happen at all." That argument is not good enough to convince me it won't happen.
