| | | Why are we in this fight with Russia….. I suspect, every powerful nation needs credible opposition. Russia is not a credible opposition. It has a population of @ 140 million and an economy about the size of Canada's (pop @ 35 million): Cdn GDP @ $1.8 trillion; Russian GDP @ 2 trillion.
Compared to the US and its allies, (particularly the ME ones), the Russian military is poorly equipped and poorly trained
Western establishments - especially US - saw in the collapse of USSR an opportunity for looting and pillaging the corpse and recycling US foreign aid. Before and after Bill's presidency the Clintons, and Western nomenclatura generally, could not restrain their glee and their greed.
Then that wretched Russian lawyer, Putin, nationalized the gravy train and the carpetbaggers have, ever since, been trying to get even with him for having consigned them, like zerobiden dogs, to ignominiously diving for scraps from under the low class Ukraine foreign aid banquet table.
They’re proven to be afraid of a nuclear war, which makes people think they’re safer than the other leading candidate for the main oppo role, China.
I think China is far more corrupt and is straight forwardly blackmailing and bribing Western pols and business folk.
Like Russia, China has a vastly inferior military compared to US and its allies and its neighbor, India.
There is no reason to think China is any less afraid of nuclear war than anyone else. Demographically they are more vulnerable because they killed so many girl babies.
If there were no Russia, one would need to be invented. In a way, it has been Yes, well, it has become the age of the expert and folk are in increasing numbers coming to assume that experts are full of shit. |
