I think the problem has already been attributed to head misalignment from 'rough use'.I don't believe that the problem represents any flaw or defect in the products. Rather, I think it results from people taking the definition of 'portable' a little too loosely. I don't think Iomega ever meant it to be taken to mean "you can toss em around like luggage, throw 'em in a dirty trunk or a dusty car floor without protection..." But this may be how many people are taking it.

Remember " Prestone Lifetime Antifreeze" ? The company was horrified to learn that many of its customers were taking this literally - and never changing the stuff. (Prestone was advertizing the year-round-use and non-degrading property of the stuff) .

By the way, clik! will have to be portable in the sense that zip and jaz are not meant to be. This is why I am so eager to get one.
