Mel, there is an art and a science to being a CEO. KE succeeded in the science but failed miserably in the art. He dropped the ball for the shareholders and where would he be without us?
I am a long term investor and a disappointed one at that in terms of IOM. I bought it a year ago and haven't seen any appreciation. We're in a BULL MARKET you know.
I consider myself an investor and not a KE groupie. Gary and Rocky are the most astute posters on this thread. Rocky tends to exaggerate to get his point across. Gary is very knowledgeable as far as investing goes and I like his realistic analysis of situations. As far as committal to an institution, neither of them fit the bill (I see no evidence of psychosis, delusions of grandeur, mania, depression etc.) In fact their reality check is excellent. Since I'm not selling the stock I hope KE will tend to the other aspect of his job; not hyping the co. or telling lies, but give an honest and coherent assessment of the of the co. so that analysts and stockholder confidence will return. He is somewhere off in dreamland when it comes to PR. That's not unusual for a techie. Also for those of you living in the past and basking in the glory of KE's past accomplishments my advice is get into the 2000's.SR
