If you are a regular Canadian then you are probably still wondering what happened.
It is really simple, a group of disaffected Canadians just tried to take over the country.
They had the support of several politicians, they planned and launched an attack on Canada.
They occupied Ottawa shutting down businesses and roads, they closed our international borders.
They caused billions of dollars in damages, they tried to use the pandemic weariness as a launch pad.
A large social media campaign was launched at the same time as the physical attack.
A few of the more offensive and ignorant bots are still trolling.
The ones who took over the border in Coutts were heavily armed, they planned on killing police.
The social media campaign they launched convinced many this was a way out of the pandemic.
Server farms in Bangladesh and Indonesia were pouring out false stories and pictures.
The misinformation and lies were posted everywhere by bots or paid promoters, even on sites like SI.
This attack was caused by political ambition, the pandemic is caused by a virus.
Canada is a democracy, we have elections, we support the rule of law.
It is why this attack was destined to fail from the moment it was launched, we are not brigands.
Who launched this attack on Canada and who is supporting the attacks on Canada.
The obviously angry and strident Poilievre is furious, just furious.
He bet all his political capital on being able to convince Canadians brigands are good.
It is sickening that he is standing in our House demanding that the attack be allowed to continue.
And it will continue, the attackers are waiting to see if they can come back to Ottawa and carry on.
The attackers have regrouped just outside of Ottawa and they are getting ready to attack again.
They need the Emergency Act out of the way to re-occupy the city.
The Emergency Act gives the police the power to compel towing companies to tow trucks.
The attackers planned on being able to intimidate the towing industry and they did.
Deep pockets were arranged to support the ongoing occupation of the capital.
The Emergency Act cut off the flow of funds the attacking forces relied on.
And this was never about the pandemic it was only about bringing down the government.
I think a full inquiry would be a good place to start, let's see who was talking to who and when.
Let's follow the money and find out who coordinated this massive attack on our country, and why.
Political lies are one thing, launching an attack on Canada to profit politically is another thing entirely.
