Well actually its a heap simpler than that it seems. According to the so called classic definition, a bear market takes place as follows:

"A bear market is when a market experiences prolonged price declines. It typically describes a condition in which securities prices fall 20% or more from recent highs amid widespread pessimism and negative investor sentiment."


As I sed earlier, that means that RUT is/was already in a bear market having experienced a 22.67% decline from the ATH.


Standing by to learn if any other indices reach that level. I don't think so myself but its sure as hell possible.
