re "sector thread"

I would also be happy to give input.

For example,
one sector (of many) that I follow daily is the GOLD sector.

It is a very predictable sector, when following many gold stocks on daily basis.

For example...
ABX
ABY
ASA
BCMD
BGO
BMG
CDE (silver)
ECO
HM
NEM
NGC
PDG
follow 11 Gold stocks, list them under Yahoo delayed portfolio, monitor a few times, throughout the day.
if..
monday all red
tuesday a few green
wednesday all green
Thursday is a gimme...they'll be all green again (unless, of course, news preempts the T/A)
Thursday is a good time to buy for a 1 or 2 day gain, and should be followed closely.
Over the past year, Gold stocks usually have a 3 day, all green, rally.

This info based on the "intuitive" trading in me.

Have traded ECO, all the way down from 7, buying on green days, for short term profits.

Sue

ps. I have many "sector watches". and would be happy to contribute lists for sector watch thread. My biggest question about sectors, is...
Who is/are the sector leaders?
Would like to see this addressed on the new thread.
