"This is not the AMD of a decade ago," Bernstein Research analyst Stacy Rasgon said, lifting the brokerage's rating on the company to "outperform" — its highest stock rating — from "market-perform".

10 years ago AMD was $4.

Today it is $115.

These analyst's job is to help the investment community make money. It's fine to analyze the company, but the analyst is not a company analyst, he is a stock analyst. His job is to inform the investment community which stocks are going to go up in price FROM TODAY.

He had a "market perform" from $4 to $115, and today, at $115, says it's a good time to buy AMD stock?

This is so ridiculous, it's .... ridiculous.
