Mike, a few questions have piled up and here they are. First, I noticed on these cheap puts the spreads are outrageous, often 100%, such as 1/8-1/4, 1/4-1/2, 3/8-3/4, etc. Does this bother you and do you try to buy in between the spread?
Do you have any opinions on GPS, AVID, IWRK, and CAWS? All are down recently, and I'm toying with buying calls or selling puts.
I noticed today was a weak one for the hi-techs finally. Could they actually be running out of steam here, or is this just a brief respite IYO?
Also, I haven't asked you in a while your opinion of the hi-flyers CSCC, ASND, PAIR, SHVA. SHVA looks really weak lately. Do you think the others are ready to fall also, or not yet? Their earnings are coming out soon, I believe.
Last question. I just lost some quick bucks on a totally speculative waste management stock on the small Nasdaq. I didn't know it at the time I bought in (it wasn't posted on their website) but this great shareholder friendly company had just doubled that's right doubled the number of shares outstanding. The stock is now 1/4 of what it was a few weeks ago, and continuing to fall. Also, there's talk of this company, desperate for cash, spending 1 million buying some worthless looking license from their CEO. My question: Is all this legal? Did the company have to report in advance or when they issued these shares, this dramatic dilution to the shareholders?
I got out with a 40% loss, but others are now down 90% in a matter of months. IMO the small Nasdaq doesn't seem much better than the Vancouver exchange, where this stock used to be traded.
