This was all started in the 90's when James Baker and later Clinton promised we'd not expand NATO east.

Then we gobbled up all of the old Warsaw Pact countries into NATO as well as the Baltic countries.

It's like if the Warsaw Pact admitted Canada and Mexico. We'd probably have had a problem with that as well in the 80's.

It's like the Cuban missile crisis, but this time the roles are reversed.

Why we couldn't just leave Ukraine alone is beyond me. First we organize a coup in Ukraine, and then we try to ram NATO down their throat.
