Here are highlights from the article you mentioned by Scott:

Bob West field is the largest pool to date in this trend of South Texas with probable reserves of 1 Tcf.

The field produces from seven major sandstone packages comprising of 27 individual reservoirs and distributed over 3500 productive acres. Bob West Field represents one of the largest gas discoveries in South Texas in the past 30 years.

This field is an impressive addition to the Upper Wilcox gas trend which stretches 120 miles from Starr county in the south to Live Oak county in the north. In addition to the greater size and amount of development drilling at Bob West, higher per-well and cumulative production there has been a result of Three important factors: 1) use of directional drilling to maintain structural position, 2) use of larger fracture treatments than previously applied to Upper Wilcox and 3) commingling pay zones.

The 27 sandstone's lie between L-5 and L-39 and as many as 7 additional sandstone's are perspective below these sandstone's L-40, L-47. Bob West Field is structurally low to Lopeno field but is more productive. Greater sandstone thickness in the upper and lower Lopeno intervals at Bob West indicate that the field area was also low during disposition of these intervals. The higher productivity of wells at Bob West may be related to the increased storage capacity of these thicker somewhat more porous sandstone's.

Second order faults in both fields are mostly sealing; production is thus tied to a complex array of fault blocks. Wells with good productivity commonly penetrate several or more such fault blocks. Wells at Bob West field subjected to fracture treatments typically produce at higher rates. Non commingled production has generally been in the range of 3-5 Mcf/day. And commingling has increased this to 12-15 Mcf /day . Information gained from BW field therefore adds significantly to an understanding of regional potential and possible future drilling trends.

As the largest field discovered to date, in the southern Upper Wilcox trend, Bob West exemplifies the large reserves that may remain untapped or undiscovered elsewhere. The history of discovery at Bob West and Bob West north indicate the value of re-examining existing data with an eye to identify new potential in the vicinity of established production.
