If Ukraine, or NATO, decided to invade Russia (for whatever reason), I have no doubt Putin would drop a nuke. So I don’t get that Russia ever really feared for its security

I get that. But do we really want to make them do it? Pressing a dangerous opponent to an extreme ain't wise.

Using a nuke - even a small, “tactical” one - would break the great taboo which existed since Hiroshima.

You nuke someone - and you’re left to wonder - will they nuke you back? And if you think so, wouldn’t it be smarter to “retaliate” first, without waiting to get hit?

Things may blow big in a blink. And even if, per chance, it stops there, you’ll be a SHPOS (subhuman piece of sh*t) for the next 100 years.

Bad business.
