<What is happening today in the Ukraines can be traced back, blockchain way, to the Mongol invasion way back awhile. In other words, what is happening today, with or without Putin, would happen anyway> Mongols did not have ICBMs and nuclear weapons. War has different consequences now. Russia should also think of that, not just US/NATO. Russia had enough opportunities in 20th century to show that they could run an empire. They failed and are now just another country, however still thinking that they are still an empire. -Arun
