Earlie, One important thing that has come out of the SEA flu is
that Micron has been granted a temporary reprieve on the 300mm
issue. Once 300mm DRAM fabs come on line, they will add capacity
in huge increments and have much lower production costs.

Micron will have to play or it will no longer be the "low cost
DRAM producer" in anybody's mind. My impression is that they
will be unable to upgrade their existing fabs and will be forced
to install new equipment which will require lots of cash.

Has Micron made any public statement discussing the suitability of
the Lehi building for a 300mm line?

Existing fabs will become obsolete for making DRAM. This will be
a big problem for MIcron which doesn't have other product lines to
fill them.
