I think FL is a highly speculative investment at this point under the current condition of the market.

FL issued much lower guidance than anticipated and my concern is that they are not expected to show earnings growth this year. In addition to that, I thought I read where they are losing a share of their NKE business as NKE has taken a more online presence.

In a bull market I would expect price to slowly climb after dropping nearly 1/3 of its share price but the current condition of the market, in addition to geopolitical issues, is dealing with inflation and later this year higher interest rates which is going to make it tough on all companies but especially those who will be unable to show respectable earnings growth.

If I were going to buy into FL in spite of this, I would be adding a small position and then wait until it started rising before adding more. I do not average down on my cost basis on companies who lower guidance, they must improve their earnings growth potential before I would add more.

Anyway, right or wrong, those are my thoughts. You should do what you think is right for you.
