< I'm thinking the passive Chinese will be victimised.>. ???

China is not passive. They are actively helping Russia, buying raw materials, selling manufactured goods. They worked with Russia to evade sanctions after the Crimea annexation, and are doing it again. Right before the Ukraine invasion, China and Russia announced a comprehensive alliance. So China will support Russian aggression in Europe, and Russia will support Chinese aggression in E. Asia.

In what way is China an innocent victim in all this? I think they have picked the losing side (Putin), and will regret it. Hopefully, China will see what is happening to Russia, and decide not to go down that path. The best position for China, would be true neutrality. And focus on getting rich, not military conquest.
