I know that being an oil bull is in vogue these days and I am sure that the momentum will carry oil higher over the short term. But I'd like to point out that the world today is not the same as it was in 1979. Furthermore it is not even the same as it was in 2019. The work from home trend will fundamentally reduce the demand for oil while the slowing global economy will further hamper it over the next couple of months. So by all means, trade oil and gas, but as an investment, I'd be on my guard and skeptical of any long term positions.

We've gone from negative priced "take my oil please" to a raging bull and the price will probably settle somewhere around 80 in April.
