That article doesn't say what you said it says. Global oil demand will exceed pre-pandemic levels this year thanks to growing Covid-19 immunization rates and as recent virus waves haven’t proved severe enough to warrant a return to strict lockdown measures, the International Energy Agency said Wednesday. It says that global oil demand will exceed the pre-pandemic levels in 2022. In other words it is IEA's SWAG about the world consumption. How is the US and EU oil consumption is shaping up so far this year or over the last 90 days?
