Though I've heard many references to Apple's joint stake in ARM, I was unable to find any current information on ARM's site that referred to this. I hope it's true, as the StrongArm chips are extraordinary.

As to what I think about the future of the Newton Group, I'm waiting to see what happens. J R's post referring to MacWeek was an editorial/rumor piece from Mac the Knife. It is my hope that Apple retains and maintains the Newton, as I think it is an exceptional technology. The Newton, up until now, has been a technology that was created before it's time. This error, if you can call it that, is nothing new for Apple. The current 2100's are outstanding and we may not be far from the point in history where this technology will not only be appreciated, but necessary. That is my hope.
