Ha. Perhaps my logic is wrong.

If there's minimal meat to the stock mentioned, people won't spend the time to follow up, and so of course, maybe that's a reason a stock is easily and quickly ignored.

Otoh, seems like no matter how much background and reasoning is provided on a stock, pretty hard to get more than two other people to commit money for a purchase.

Which then brings us to why people post? To put down in writing to help with their mental process/stock analysis? To provide a historical record they could at some point look back on and review? To have the satisfaction of showing themselves that they have been right? To show others they have been right? To share: get some ideas from others; provide others with some ideas too? To have some fun discussing businesses and stocks?

Most people here have a lot of experience in the market. The original post functions as an alert for them to get the information they need if they are interested.

I wouldn't want the number of stock ideas to be brought forward here to be limited because a person felt he had to write up his ideas in a formal or detailed way that you are suggesting.
