I have listen to what John Mearsheimer said - to long to explain why he is sitting on the fence.

1. Ukraine historically never existed as it is now.
2. The east Ukraine Donetsk and Lugansk was on purpose by Stalin populated by Russians - they do not belong there. Crimea is a complete different story. It never was Russian or Ukrainian except recent history - best hit the history books. Ample information on the Internet.

3. As to Russia - Putin is a big problem with his ( nytimes.com ) vision and his mistakes equals to US/NATO mistakes.

4. John Mearsheimer is right about China and China will take a big byte from Siberia - Putin is to greedy and thinks he will live forever and does not see the dangers of China.

5. Siberia is extremely rich in natural resources that China wants.

6. As to Russia both sides are big fools and idiots the West and Russia.

7. Ukraine was historically not Russia it was occupied by various power until Khmelnitsky. Mostly they are not Russians as is Romania with big Hungarian and once German minorities.

8. Ukraine is an invented state like Israel, but this gives no right to invade.

9. Russian speaking people can move to Russia if they want as did most Germans in Romania peacefully but not in war.

10. 1/2 of Bukovina is Romania so is what is called Moldova Stalin took it al see old Romania ( en.wikipedia.org ).


In summary - two groups of idiots play global politics in US/EU/NATO and Russia under Putin and his close circle - Russia need the support of US/EU not as much as US/EU needs Russia much more. As to NATO is a cocktail assembly of uniformed military people that are exactly that - for cocktails, no one in this assemby personally participated in a real war.

If the Russian would not be so corrupt and the idiots send during Yeltsin time to Russia to change a rooted culture of corruption and make believe and re-educate 150 million people that never know what democracy is, where a bunch of inflated US idiots.

Peter the Great - took him 10 years to take parts of Russia from middle ages to an more modern nation comparable to Europe - then the giants Russian writer composer and scientist started to flourish.

In the long run the failure of the US advisor brought to power all the negative actors in Russia who are now the Oligarchs - despicable people who also sustain their leadership to enable them to cheat and steal.
