Did you see that show on PBS about wolves? The pack had this omega female who was too old to breed and was cast out. She, the bitch that is, would try to sneak in on a kill, tail between her legs, whining like a poor baby. If she was lucky, she got a piece of skin or something but mostly nothing at all. Eventually, because the pack stopped feeding her, she died. It seems that in nature, there is a sociological method to removing dead weight from the group. Just stop feeding them. Hell of a sad story, huh?
