Many, mainly older people, only watch State TV (AKA total propaganda and lies).
Younger people realize what's going on. And the mothers of Russian troops are getting msgs about what's really going on in Ukraine. Putin's propaganda will not hold up over time. But meanwhile he will keep bombing Ukraine, turning beautiful cities into rubble and without regard to how many civilians die or how many Russians die. Hard not to make a comparison to Hitler or Romans who simply took over countries by brutal force.
