This just out: Book-to-Bill Report 181 Metro Drive, Suite 450 San Jose, CA 95110 Phone (408) 436-6600 Fax (408) 436-6646 Email semichip@semichips.org .99 September 1996 The book-to-bill ratio is based upon a three month moving average of seasonally adjusted bookings and billings and is computed by dividing the seasonally adjusted three month bookings by the seasonally adjusted three month billings. Preliminary bookings, billings and book-to-bill ratio are computed from a voluntary sample of WSTS participating companies, representing at least 40% of sales to the Americas. Monthly information is due from the companies on the 5th business day of the month. If there is a late submission of key company data, or data checking is required (done by Price Waterhouse), the report may be delayed. The number will be released as soon as sufficient data is available to do so. The target date for the next book to bill release is November 7.
