Best read the summary at en.wikipedia.org and the translation at kingjamesbibleonline.org Personally I like the King James translation. There are other books in the bible worth reading to grasp the wisdom and ways of humanity - good and bad in other books. TO extract the wisdom within the bible just ignore the word "Good" as it is meant to re-enforce the writing and its intend.
