Another truth becomes a casualty of war. The Russians were shelling and firing towards the plant and caused the fire. But they were not targeting the actual equipment and took over that part via small weapons. At least this is how I think the Pentagon is implying.

The idea that any military commander would risk his troops total death by causing a nuclear melt down is as absurd as the Ukrainians doing the same thing. So the Russians were mindful, but still reckless.

BTW, Putin repeated his blurbs about wanting to demilitarize Ukraine into neutrality while ratcheting up the rhetoric and calling the sanctions a declaration of war. I think he regrets what he has done and is looking for a face saving way of backing out. The problem is that he doesn't know how and the more he drags it out, the harder it will be to get out.

What an idiot!!
