those many “new/old” visions and ideas
these "new/old" terms are now being defined as "modern" and "post-modern" particulars.
I truly believe a huge schism is occurring between East and West and those in the East are just outright rejecting long standing Western hegemony. For the sake of their history and culture, they have decided they are no longer willing to accept Western, neoliberalism. A neoliberal system that has the potential to destroy their own cultures, religions, racial and ethnic identities.
(These nations are also tired of being economically hijacked every time there is a dispute with the U.S. and Europe..........real or imagined.)
The powers that be in the West completely understand what is happening and why, and they are willing to do everything in their power to prevent the dissolution of their authority. They realize in order to maintain that authority, they must keep the rest of the world in check, and especially within their very powerful and long standing sphere of influence.
We've seen what the Left is willing to do to U.S. citizens over the last year, and of course the Canadian PM is a member of this particular society, as are most of the leaders of the nations of Europe.
I don't know what the inevitable outcome of this movement will end up looking like for the rest of us, but Russia is sending a strong signal that the one size fits all, Western Liberal Globalism political system is not working for them.
Liberal globalism is dying, and it's critical that we here in the West discuss the future of this movement towards a new post-modernist world. This is an international movement that will inevitably reshape our politics here at home as well as abroad.
