Maybe Pompeo thinks that’s what Trump would have said - in which case, this is likely a pre-campaign announcement. I think Trump would NOT try to provoke a conflict between Taiwan and the mainland - especially, when the world is on the verge of a blowout. Looks like when all is said and done, Mike’s smarts have been grossly overrated.
