There is no moral equivalency, but his 2nd argument is mostly valid. Russia is likely to "nationalize" foreign assets. That will lead to a foreign companies making claims against Russian assets abroad. And a new cold war will go on for a decade.

It is really best for everyone to back out and tone things down. But of course that is all conditioned on Putin pulling out of Ukraine. And since he seems to have lost his mind (some say it is due to steroid treatments), then we are watching a train wreck in slow motion.
