Paul,

<< I guess technology books don't sell as well as "OJ escapades" or "Kiss and Tell"
type books. >>

A sad reflection of the great times that we live in. That is really amazing re: Intel Inside. I hope to get that darn book soon. I assume its a good seller bc I haven't found it yet.

<< As for fibre channel - a good technology but hardly a foundation for a major investment opportunity. >>

I agree with you partly. And Dataquest and IDC sure say some funny things about FC growth in the next few years (with the bulk of rev in the servers). However, when HP, CPQ, SUN/DEC, STK, SGI, SQNT, EDS, Bull, IBM, Data General, etc... all start shipping more Fibre Channel product by the end of the year, many small players will do very well that supply these biggies with special product (ie. switches, hubs, adapter cards). These are very speculative companies at the moment, of course, and not anywhere like investing in a great company like Intel. One better have thick stomach walls. :-) Most companies that I like are private, but some companies like EMLX and ANCR could do very well from their current beaten-down prices if they can partner/oem effectively with these large companies soon. all in my opinion, of course. we'll see. i do recommend watching. :-)

RE: Bunnies. You're right, the laugh I got was certainly fair enough. :-)

cheers,
pigboy
