So, Ukraine is a free nation and can hook up with nato all it wants (which Cuba wasn’t allowed to do with the USSR, because back in those days people still believed in the existence of important geopolitical factors. And in maintaining international stability).

Otoh, the US - given enough public support - can go and arrest Russia's president, and convict him.

A little unipolar, don’t you think?

BTW, if Ukraine can freely join nato if Zelensky wants it — maybe we should cancel all nuclear non-proliferation treaties, and allow any nation to freely develop nuclear weapons?? Or, simply purchase them, in a free market place? Let’s go for it and be done with all this, no?
