I don't think IDT's underdeveloped fab capacity will limit the company this year. The ramp up must proceed relatively slowly both in the marketplace and in the fab. If AT&T is interested in the C6 or more likely the C6+, then they will not be particularly interested in whether they can ship them 100,000 chips per month right now, but whether they can meet their demand in a few months time. Semiconductor processes are similar to most manufacturing processes - they take time to perfect. Why mess up on a large scale: work out the kinks and then expand capacity. At any rate, despite no huge profits, I am relatively happy with the way IDT's story has unfolded over the past few months. I also heard from Clear Logic again and they said the deliberately chose the less popular Altera PLD to start with and are very satisfied with their reception in the marketplace.
