So, if Ukraine is not worth going to war over, why were we playing with fire, trying to get a Ukraine into NATO, thus obligating us to come to its rescue if Russia or anyone else attacks it?
The only thing I can think of is that it’s related to the notion of idle minds being the Devils workshop.

Those boys and girls experts sit around and think and talk - and their big ideas and theories become more important than reality. They become too busy and too important to worry about what is reality to normal people.

They’re meddlers. They come to think of possibilities like hundreds of millions dead as just another war gaming scenario. Last night on Carlson's show someone talked about a war game projecting a billion casualties.

Many of them are unmarried and/or have no kids. Makes it easier to get caught up in theories and other fantasies.
