All 3 of the Baltic states made a huge symbolic and practical statement about their vision for their future by making a huge investment in regauging their entire rail networks to be compatible with Western Europe and INCOMPATIBLE with Russia.

And the magnitude of that investment says something about their resolve to make it happen.

Do the Russians care? They'll have to at least take that into account in making their plans for the future.
