What???? Salon agrees with me re: Nuland? That is a glimmer of hope. A tiny, tiny glimmer of hope. The idiot is a believer in the US as the benign hegemon, morally authorized to spread our views and our institutions for the good of mankind. God, what drivel. And it drove/drives our foreign policy. We simply do not recognize that a very serious portion of the world does not see us as benign. Too many useless wars, too many broken promises, to justify (in their eyes) the notion that we are benign. The notion of a benign hegemon is a creature of PC, wokeism, all kinds of influences on our behavior that are incredibly dangerous.
