John,
I'm new to SI but have been following ACCY since last August. Let me tell you that a voice as direct and to the point as yours has been needed on this thread for quite some time. I agree on your view of ACCY and its direction towards the future.

What I also would like to say falls into the "For What It's Worth Category".... I talked with my Dad today who happens to live in Apache Junction, AZ, which is about 5 miles from the Superstition course. He knows quite well of Lyle Anderson, the developer of the course, I guess he's made quite a name for himself building golf courses/communities. Plus the Nicklaus name can be put onto the layout of this course because Jack's sons worked hands on on the project while Jack's duty was much more of an advisor/consultant. This all doesn't really mean much, except that the course is scheduled to open very soon (my Dad said two years and god know how many truck loads of topsoil in the making) and it is looking like the Classic Series will break this one in. Believe me, these desert courses are works of art...not to mention the condos/houses/hotels, that go up around them. The Superstition Course is no second player...the fact ACCY could even acquire this type of venue on their initial tournament holds some amount of weight.

Just my thoughts,
Mark
