Capitulating to evil and demands by Kleptocrats like Putin is not the answer.
There is a reason he never acted aggressively when we had leadership under President Trump.

Empty vacuous leadership emboldened him to strike. Despite the repeated drumbeat, this invasion has little to do with NATO. Did he take the Crimea because of NATO a few years ago?

NATO is just an excuse for the naked aggression and land grab. That’s been substantiated by his unwillingness to end the conflict, despite being offered no NATO interest by Ukraine.

Ukraine and their people can decide the future they want. We are now seeing if they are up to the challenge.

Putin and the Russians may end up seeing missiles hit red square before this is over. If I were flying a MIG , why stop at the border and bomb tank columns when you can hit red square?

We are witness to a generation that knew nothing about the evils of Russian Dictators until Feb 24 of this year. The world has been re-awakened, and you can’t wish for the genie to be put back in the bottle. Memories live long, the Ukraine and newly developing former Russian controlled states have taken notice.

We should stay out of it in so far as direct military assistance. Economic is another thing entirely.

The best thing we can do to hit them hard is what Trump was doing, drill baby drill! Innovate too.

20 years from now their society will look third world again.

I feel bad for the millions of decent Russian people who will now become poorer and shut off from the rest of the world. It was nice running into them at Disneyworld for a few decades.

The real change has to begin within Russia, they need to build a more just society and elect leaders who will support it. Unfortunately, they took the path of corruption and Kleptacracy when the iron curtain fell.

The worst thing we did in hindsight was push for Ukraine to give up their nucs. One or two nucs would have kept the Bear in its den!
