Hi Bob, Our marvelous, innovative Team USA has some interesting history with steam-powered vehicles. My great uncle witnessed what may have been world's first motorized tractor-trailer truck in 1860, when it chugged past his father's farm in southern Minnesota. I have a photocopy of his handwritten account about this doomed beast, which was shipped from Newark, NJ, to Henderson, MN on the Minnesota River. From there it steamed westward about 50 miles before sinking hopelessly into wet ground...
