Russia Seeking China's Military Help In Ukraine, US "Sources" Say In Afternoon Of Media Leaks; China Responds: "Never Heard Of That" Balancing the news flow.... with "what to do about it"... ? Balancing time spent in monitoring news flows... versus probable value won from time spent on any of it ? Which bit of news is going to "turn off the inflation" ? Which bit of news is going to... "put the pieces back together" ? Which shell is the pea under ? Which game do I want to play... instead of that one ? Which bits... no matter how much optimism in "being resolved now" re "let's quit killing each other"... still cannot be undone in relation to "well, that's awkward"... and "the rude reply" that cannot be unsaid ? Meaning of "peak uncertainty" fostered... not in content... but just as "volumes in noise and counter-noise" ? Whipsaws in news... translate to whipsaws in markets... with what probability / certainty vs. this or that as source or this or that in validation... this or that in "focus"... good/bad/up/down ? Expectation "management" with optimism... vs. ??? in any actual ability to... cash that check being pre-hypothecated ? As a practical matter... "I'll believe it when I see it"... is correct approach to "wait for it"... without reacting to others claims re "the chart is getting ready to turn suddenly" with allowing that driving actions... when the chart has not turned... But, others may react... so... IF... or how to... trade others reactions is still a valid question... Otherwise... I think the "focus" where the noise is being generated... is likely not the right place to look... when others work so hard to have you look there... Something in the market tomorrow... will move higher... something else will move lower... And, I suspect more value in finding reasons for that... one way or the other.... where there is less noise... and where the music allows adopting a rational choice of movement that feels more comfortable in allowing sliding into the flow... without tripping on the edge of the floor as you step out onto it ? Where in the market is the "anti"... to the theme on the channel with horror movies... ? Which is the trade that "wins"... no matter whichever way the story in that marquee contest plays out ? I think... time to look away... and seek "orthogonal" news... about other things... that others are ignoring... where there may be a trade... because ignored ?
