I have been busy with family / domestic endeavours and scheduled to get a lot busier.
I noted the price of petrol (gas) going from £1:20 a litre to £1:97 a litre. All goods are transported so those prices will get incorporated into everything else price. Inflation positioned to take off for intersteller trip far as I can tell.
I am keeping all positions on assets frozen, neither buy or selling anything and in no hurry whatsoever to start buying or selling. Watching BTC carefully. Two weekly candles outside of the down channel indicate possible sideways move for a few years perhaps?
I have prepared this chart for a neighbour who is interested in BTC. Suggesting analog approach rather than digital, buying up smaller amounts and only sticking to "play money" fully authorised by wife for spending on fripperies.

Information is a two way street, and being taught gardening. Lots of room for that, even before we get out the manual plough and horses. We have a new neighbour to is expert in growing both food and flowers (tulips possibly? -g-) and has travelled extensively in Africa in an advisory role.
Will be getting many commitments as time goes on so probably not a contributor to the board. I do read it though and there really are fantastic and useful posts. Great to get a behind the scenes reports of the news events too.
Also hearing about "Guerrilla Gardening" and probably getting involved. This is where landless people keep a stash of seeds (flowers & food) and plant seeds on patches of land to keep a larder on the go and maybe keep the local environment pleasing to the eye with flowers. It's a big subject seemingly.

Get into guerrilla gardening - Saga
I am aiming to sell / dump 80% of my worldly goods. After the whinging and whining with myself it probably be only 50%, but my garage almost hopelessly overstocked. Computer stuff too. Aim to slim down to one Raspberry PI, one power desktop, and one commercial router to play with and maybe one more PC to play with. I am aiming to staying where I am for location, it's good, but also wish to remain flexible and ready to go if needed.
Now if we see some big events happening, sure, will review things.
I don't know about Jack, but I think I can learn most of my stuff on a Raspberry PI. My bigger Desktop PC has 64GB of RAM, enough to run a number of virtual servers on , and the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 maxes out full whack at about 70 watts and has a RX 570 Series Video Card. In my book , doing more with less is where it's at. The low electricity consumption on ridiculously low prices for near bleeding edge technology really does give me a buzz.
Now when the occasion arises, when I need lots more of whatever, I should be in a position to supply it on a timely basis. All my projects to date were good practise and with many hard lessons learned.
I have been handy about the estate so outlook is good. |
