Russia has essentially committed all its ground forces to Ukraine. What is left are conscript reserve units barely fit to fight. Sounds like Russia is running out of ammo and equipment to feed into the grinder.

Ukraine is not strong enough to repel Russian forces back except if Russian forces completely collapse. So there is stalemate.

Nothing left to do but come to a negotiated settlement.
