Why not combine them - Staputin. Makes it an atypical, but a still possible Russian sounding name.

For days, Zelensky voiced an agreement to move along with a settlement which was close to the Minsk agreement - which his predecessor had signed. Now, overnight, he issued an appeal to Russian soldiers and officers, offering them a “chance to stay alive” is they surrender.

I hoped the negotiations will settle the issue. Ain’t happening, though. Will get a lot worse before (?) it gets better.
