Sent some e-mail to Hitachi after RCOM's license announcement last week. Here the brief: Q: There was some news yesterday of Hitachi licensing some smart card technology from Racom and Ramtron. How do you plan to use this technology--other than make smart cards--and when will it be available? A: We will develop some application system using the none contact smart card. We will be able to provide the basic devices, cards and software package by the end of this year. K.Yamashita
