Again, that sounds good and is fully understandable, how do you cope with that as a business? I ran a packing department for a while and ran into this a lot. My wife and I debate this subject. The libs scream about pay gaps between men and women but when you can count on Bob coming to work everyday but Sally the single mother misses work every couple weeks, you want more Bobs and less Sally's. We promised we would ship ALL orders the same day as ordered if ordered by "X" time. If I have packing stations with nobody there because Timmy has the sniffles then it makes it hard to get all the orders on the truck in time. Now I have ticked off customers that will shop at my competition instead. It's the whole fantasy rainbow unicorn vs real world thing again. It magnifies when it is key positions where a job is one or two people only doing that job. A missing person can kill you.
