"In other words, when the nations become strongly democratic and largely free from corruption, the foundation is strong enough to resist Russian meddling to install a puppet government."

Democracy won't make Ukraine or Russia free from corruption, they don't think or operate that way. Take it from me who was involved in two separate enterprises in Ukraine that went bust due to corruption.

Russians feel vastly superior to Ukrainians in the same way English feel superior to Irish. While Russians feel cultural superiority to Ukrainians and Ukrainians acquiesce both are equally inept and corrupt.

You never see anything IPO out of Ukraine or Moscow for obvious reasons, at least anything that anyone would ever take seriously.

A Russian is a Russian is a Russian, does not matter if he calls himself a communist, a catholic or a capitalist, under the skin they are all the same.

I have 100% sympathy for the Ukrainians but there is nothing there to save. Most Ukrainians want to immigrate to the USA, Canada and Australia, let them go and be done with it.
