Or maybe rather T. Rowe Price at P/E close to 10?

Having looked at these co.'s just quickly, T.Rowe Price actually seems still better, and cheaper too. Ridiculous RO(T)E (rising from ~20% to ~40% during last ten years). Blackstone's ROE seems to be around 15%. OTOH their equity is of course vastly greater...

Hmm! You remember my story of T Rowe Price's performance vs Vanguard on one fund. Yet it still exists (PRITX). I guess what you are buying with such a company is it's ability to sell into irrationality. Like most (all?) life insurance companies.

I loved your source story on Larry Fink and there was much I didn't know despite having been asked by an old friend in about 1990 whether she could safely invest with Blackrock. I'm feeling pretty stupid in my old age and really don't think I have any kind of intellectual edge in the markets. I've reviewed my comment to you that goes something like: Everyone gets lucky once or twice. The trick is to not waste what was gained. I gave that advice to a group of young women in LA last friday but got the idea from saying it to you.

So I value your insights and also being there. I do think you are intellectually likely to do well as an investor but--man, the amount of material you absorb, comment on, and also work full time amazes me. Keep it up and I'm a few days behind but recommending many of your posts on the value thread.
