I found this research interesting and sort of counter intuitive.

A 20 year study of people who have to take nsaids for pain, arthritis, headaches, etc, have much less dementia in old age!!?/

The reasoning, as I recall, is that nsaids decrease inflammation and so also inflammation of the brain.
