Can't stand people who just lie, fear-monger, and blame the other guy. The damage is undeniable, but I saw it in eastern Ukraine as well, and look where the Ukraine forces are being surrounded.
From what I've heard, they were getting ready to de-Russify that area, but they weren't making any distinctions between Russian speaking residents and Russian collaborators. The Russians beat them to the punch in those areas and stopped them from turning back. The Cobra... The Cauldron. Contain, squeeze, and heat. Those guys may need Zelenskyy more than Zelenskyy needs them at this point.
De-Russification works out to ethnic hate. I think this is the aim of Russia - to stop it once and for all in areas where Russian speaking people live and only want to live in peace. They can't help it if they were descended from Russian speaking ancestors. The borders have switched so many times in the recent past.
Starting to look like Gonzalo has a better view of the whole picture than Palki. He should - he's there in the middle in Kharkov. He does say inflammatory stuff about Russians as well, but it is inflammatory about what they might do to neo-Nazi instigators, not grannies. He is not kind to what he's seen Ukrainians do to other Ukrainians. He gives regular Ukrainian forces a pass, but says many groups are influenced by infiltration.
He is also not kind to Zelenskyy. He said that Zelenskyy's sponsor has bugged out, so... What's going to happen? Spoilers. Gonzalo has gone underground. He used some passive-aggressive defense by letting them know he has a lawyer in NYC who'd be interested in learning the contact details for their legal counsel.
