Elroy,

It seems like you are new to this thread. Therefore, I would like to inform you that there is no such "Q" phone (Analog / digital celluar) in any market yet. It is still in the FCC lab test. It will not come out until April 1998 the earliest.

However, there is a PCS "Q" phone out there in the market. I do not believe Airtouch has any PCS service in any area in the US. Airtouch does however has a joint venture called Primeco. It does serves PCS markets. Primeco does provide "Q" phone.

Motorola can not even come out the first generation of CDMA phone. Do not even think it will provide any "Startec" like CDMA phone any time soon. (It involves so many expertises that no company except QCOM and Sony are "only" able to come up with a "Q" PCS CDMA phone and "Z" PCS CDMA phone.

"Startec" phone is only in Analog mode. I think MOT just come out a GSM or TDMA "only" "Startec" phone recently which serves in TDMA service area.

Sound confused? Yes. That is the reason QCOM is such a superior technology company that ERICY, NOKA, MOT, LU, NT have to reckon with in so many ways. Hopefully this helps you understand QCOM a little bit more.
