There is strong circumstantial evidence (which is all you can really ask for) that Joe was getting a piece of the action.

One tidbit from an email of questionable provenance making a vague reference to allocating a cut. Hardly strong. Just a teaser.

I'm not even sure this payment would have been illegal.

If he got a payment and didn't report it he has done something illegal. If he got a payment and did report it, somebody would have noticed it in his tax returns, which are public. So it's safe to assume that the latter is not the case. The former would be way too big a risk for someone in his position to take. His tax returns are pretty simple so something weird would stick out. Ergo, it's unlikely that he got any payment, legal or otherwise.

I don't understand why you people are so willing to let a crumb like Biden go unexamined on a pretty obvious allegation

I don't have any problem with it being examined. It's been a while, now, so I think it most likely that it was examined and nothing found. But if someone wants to examine it again, if it's on someone else's dime, I'm OK with that. It's too unlikely to warrant spending taxpayer money or making it a priority.

That's why y'all have to play suppositions as if they were facts, because there ain't no facts that support your suppositions.
